This is so wrong on so many different levels. Didn't anyone learn anything from the failure of DIVX?

Apparently, the web "news" outlets have picked the movie trailer as their newest whipping boy. (It's interesting to compare the Salon article of that topic, to this version courtesy of E! Online.)
I don't think either article mentioned the annual Key Art Awards that happened this past Friday, which gives out awards for film advertising (including trailers).
I'm not really interested in defending the SOS (Same Old Shit) criticism against trailers - they simple refect the SOS of most recent movies themselves.

So you're probably asking yourself...
What does the artwork for the new one-sheet for the 20th anniversary rerelease of BLADE RUNNER look like, and where can I buy the original?
John Alvin (the original artist), got a chance to rework his previous BLADE RUNNER poster for the upcoming rerelease. That's a rare opportunity for a designer to go back and "fix" things he/she are not happy with. Lord knows there a few movie posters I've designed that I'd like to "rework"...

This is one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a while.

Jimmy Smits in Episode II? At least he isn't going the way of David Caruso.
