Bad Birthday Girl
My favorite pin-up icon and pvtv.org logo girl, Bettie Page, turns 79 today. Let's see, how many birthday spankings would that be?
In other news, hopefully thebettiepage.com will be launched at some point in the near future. (There's a teaser page there now.)

Birthday
I'm 11323 days old today. (Don't get out the calculator, that's 31 years.) I'm always reminded today that I don't share my birthday with any cool people. Well, Michelle would say I share it with someone cool.

Putt Putt
We called it Putt Putt when I was a kid... But real people call it minature golf. Here's a really addictive online minature golf game to eat up your time.

onesheetdesign.com
After much delay, I finally finished the three Rs (Review, Redesign, Relaunch) for my main web site:
onesheetdesign.com
Please drop by to see my movie poster design portfolio and point out any errors you might find. Comments welcomed.

May the Farce be with you.
It's exactly one month until the release of Attack of the Clones. More fun to tide you over: the Star Wars parody, Hardware Wars - The Original Edition was just released on DVD.
"You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll kiss three bucks goodbye." (Well, that was back in the late 70s.)
This is the original version of the film, not the less than Special Edition released by the producer a few years ago.

Serve This
Well, hopefully the updated DNS has finished propagating around the world, so you can see this url/site/weblog at it's new web server. Luckily, none of my domains are registered via Network Solutions, otherwise I might be having problems like poor Leslie.

Switching Hosts
In the process of moving all of my domains to a new webhost (and server).
I'm trying out pair Networks, which came highly recommended by... well... everybody. Hope they are better than my current host. Fingers crossed.
Site will probably be sproadic for the next week or so.

Yub Yub!
The release of Episode II is just over a month away. While you wait, why not enjoy an acoustic rendition of the Ewok song? You can find the lyrics here so you can follow along at home. As an added bonus, why not pick up a copy of Bill Murray singing the Star Wars theme?

Free TeleZapper
I'm about to save you that $49.99 you were going to spend on a TeleZapper. The TeleZapper plays the first tone in the three tones that proceed the well-known "this number has been disconnected" message. The telemarketing dialer listens for that tone, and assumes the number is disconnected, deleting it from it's list.
Forget that. Do the same thing for free:
Place those three disconnect tones (or the first two, or one) at the beginning of your answering machine message. After a few weeks letting your answering machine screen, you'll get the same results as a TeleZapper. Don' t have the tones?
Download the sound file of the disconnect tones here.
You're welcome. Please feel free to send a donation for this valuable tip. :)

Get Us Out From Under...
While the site layout and navigation leaves a lot to be desired, WONDERLAND, billed as "The Ultimate Wonder Woman Site", lives up to that title. The content is very extensive, which is apparently due to the fact the site is the result of a defunct book project. Regardless, who doesn't want to see Lynda Carter in that outfit?

Site Search
Continue to tweak the site. I've added a search function to pvtv.org, courtesy of the Movable Type mod/add-on MT-Search. You can find the search fuction on the front page's right sidebar menu.

Web Tricks
Have to play catch-up with the interesting links:
The greatest toy of all time, LEGO, has a great online Lego builder for you to try.
Speaking of toys, this rabbit is really interested in your cursor. Try shaking him loose once he catches it.
Finally, no post about interesting websites would be complete without The Simpsons: take your pick between the Random Homer Simpson Quote Generator, or the endlessly useful Homer Simpson Soundboard.

Grey Skies
Updating the site has been a fairly long ordeal. On the up side, I've been able to recover most of the "lost" entries from the long defunct Groksoup version of this weblog. That's entries going back to December of 1999, when I first started this blog. They're available under the Archives link in the sidebar menu.
Unfortunately, I was never able to get an all CSS version of this site to work.
The idea of using CSS to separate design from content is great, but many browser quirks and bugs (fuck you very much Windows Internet Explorer 5x) kept me from realizing a tableless design.
Having said that, this new table version of my site has it's own quirks to work out, but should be acceptable for the time being.
This redesign experience reminds me why I'm not a web designer.
