Star Wars Trilogy DVD Changes
The Digital Bits offers up a visual side-by-side comparison of the Star Wars Trilogy 2004 DVD Changes. More unnecessary tinkering by Lucas -- and Greedo still shoots first. One audio change of note is the redubbing of all of Boba Fett's lines by Attack of the Clones actor, Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett (makes sense, as Boba was a clone, but still another unwelcomed nonetheless.) The Star Wars Trilogy DVD set goes on sale September 21st.

"Makes sense, but unwelcomed". That's just typical of the non-change brigade. Accept it, the original versions are never coming out, and good riddence to them. The DVD versions RULE.
George Lucas is a genius. He can take the littlest amount of money and make the greatest films. I know a lot of fans don't like the changes in the trilogy because it mess with the original masterpiece but you know the changed trilogy is what Lucas wanted Star Wars to be. He had to do the original one that way because of money and most of all the technology. The technology back then was not as good as it is now. So, he got what he needed to finish the original masterpiece… technology. In twenty to thirty years from now when technology is even more advanced he may go back and finish the new trilogy including new sound quietly and special effects. He said that he is retiring after the Star Wars III so he may never do another Star Wars film again. If some else finish his work by making 7,8,9 what would the fans do? They may cry or they may jump with joy. Many know that Lucas didn’t direct Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. All new people on 7,8,9 might no be a bad idea. Everybody that fallows Star Wars knows that Lucas would have to be the writer of 7,8,9. The director of 7,8,9 could be Irvin Kershner or Richard Marquand. I only brought up 7,8,8 because that’s the next step of the Star Wars Saga. Fans will be waiting for 7,8,9 after the third one is made. The first three had to be made to tell the story of how Darth Vader becomes Darth Vader. Witch in turns sets up the storyline for the original trilogy. The new trilogy would be the prequel. Fans will want to know what happens after the New Republic is started. What happens to Luke? Dose Hon and Leia have kids? If yes what happens to them? Is the Dark Side gone forever? Is there going to be a new Sith Lord? Is there a prologue? There are so many questions that fans would like to ask but there is no time to ask those questions. Now the read is asking why did you bring up the 7,8,9 jazz? This is supposed to be about the changes to the original trilogy. Well, because Lucas is a genius. In saying that, if he want to make new films to expanded the story of Star Wars. He can change the original trilogy to make it fit his original vision. Witch he didn’t have the money and technology at the time when the original Star Wars was made. Star Wars is the best film when it comes to expanding the technology of filmmaking. That means no one should ever touch Stars Wars without consenting with George Lucas. I can go and say that George Lucas is the best filmmaker he even ranks higher then Steven Spielberg. Yes they have work together on films but his still ranks higher. Lucas has invented new concepts into filmmaking that why he is better. That’s why he can change the original trilogy. So if fans don’t like the changes they should suck it up and for get about it. -Orren Jensen -

This new trilogy is awesome!!! Putting Hayden Christensen in the end of "Return of the Jedi" instead os the original Darth was a great thing to do. The way he appears embarassed and naive is so beautiful. This set of DVDs are espectacular. Now it all as a connection. Good job Lucas
