Much welcomed concert DVD from the progressive rock trio Rush. The disc features their first ever concert in Brazil. More importantly, a rare look behind the scenes of the band is offered via a documentary film. There are also interesting hidden DVD easter eggs.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade come packaged together in one impressive boxed set. The films are top notch, with the middle Doom film being somewhat weaker. The forth disc features welcomed bonus material, sure to satisfy fans until the next DVD release.

Some say it's one of the best horror films of all time. That's probably a bit overstated, but Suspiria is definately one of the most stylish and the perfect introduction to the "Italian Horror" genre. One thing that isn't overrated is the soundtrack, which ranks as one of the creepiest and best ever.

The "sophomore jinx" brings the Matrix series crashing back down to Earth. Expectations ran too high for this sequel to the trend setting Matrix. While the "Freeway Chase" and kung fu were very impressive, the CGI "Burly Brawl" and neo-cyberpunk babble of the script were not.

Surprisingly well-made epic of the J.R.R. Tolkien classic. Although, the hype may elevate it to heights it doesn't necessarily deserve. Works better when seen as the first part of a trilogy, rather than a single film.

Easily one of the funniest movies of all time - and a nice reminder of a time when Mel Brooks made good movies. Crude and raunchy even by today's standards - very "politically incorrect". Only matched by Young Frankenstein as Brooks best film.

Japanese show Science Ninja Team Gatchaman was imported to the US in the late 70s and became the first exposure of "anime" for many at the time. The BATTLE OF THE PLANETS DVD is an interesting document of the US changes, including the cutting of violence and addition of "7-Zark-7".

Interesting sci-fi underwater adventure that suffers from being a bit silly in the last half hour. Ushered in the era of CGI effects (along with Cameron's other sci-fi opus, Terminator 2.) The "Making Of" documentary is more interesting than the film itself.

BLAZING SADDLES may have been more popular, but YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN remains as Mel Brook's greatest film comedy. One aspect that makes it so enjoyable is it embraces the black and white photography, sets, and other earmarks of the classic horror genre. Within this loving retro backdrop is some of the most wicked comedy you'll ever see.

Trashy lurid thriller that got caught up in the 1990s cliche of the "plot twist" for the sake of having plot twists. Neve Campbell and Denis Richards make for appealing distractions for the rest of the cast, even if the scams and double-cross aren't nearly as clever as they'd like you to believe.

This corny romantic comedy solidified Adam Sandler as a leading man for the masses and Drew Barrymore as a worthy object of affection. Embracing the 1980s time period and music made this a winner on almost every level. Sandler is particularly funny in scenes where he is performing at weddings.

Dated and hokey, even at the time of release. But it's hard to argue with the utlimate message about war and technology, and Matthew Broderick was pitch-perfect as a misunderstood teenage computer genius. Still, it's no DR. STRANGELOVE, but considering it was made in the 80s, it will do.

One of the first films to utilize computer graphics, in this case, literally, as the action takes place inside the computer world. Quaint by todays standards, and some say the film harmed the CG industry as much as it helped it. Still, it invokes a nice 80s film nostalgia.

Fascinating documentary on the advent of the personal computer revolution, as told by those involved. From Bill Gates to Steve Jobs, all of the guilty parties are discussed here. A bit long, but far superior to other Bob Cringely documentaries as his tremondous ego is kept (mostly) in check.

Pixar continues its unblemished success of computer animated blockbusters with this TOY STORY sequel. Excellent storytelling and a fresh story angle make this a worthy sequel. The lack of the same level of "gee whiz" as the first film is it's only minor flaw.
