Legendary parody of Star Wars is finally available on DVD. This short film is a mock-trailer for the sci-fi epic HARDWARE WARS - "You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll kiss three bucks goodbye." Goofy and dated, but that simply adds to the appeal. The extras and commentary are another matter altogether.

Durable fantasy film manages to capture the magic (both literally and figuratively) of the first J.K. Rowling Harry Potter book. The source material isn't without it's flaws, however. (A mismash of other fairy tale plots.) The young actors are well suited for their parts.

Long mired in music licensing rights, this science fiction animated film finally rocks on DVD. Each segment is animated by different creators, loosely tired together by a glowing green orb. One of the few mainstream R-rated animated films not involving Ralph Bakshi. (Which is probably a good thing.)

Immortals through time are losing their heads. "There can be only one." In this case, the first Highlander film is excellent, the sequels (TV series and otherwise) that followed were crap. A bit dated, but still worth viewing - the Queen soundtrack still holds up well.
